Hikari Cam Reusable Disposable 35mm Camera - Color ISO 400 27 EXP
Hikari Cam Reusable Disposable 35mm Camera
From Hikari Studio based in Jakarta, Indonesia. These guys have put awesome graphics on a rather boring disposable.
Based on my honest review this is not a true reusable as these are like your Fujifilm/Kodak versions basically been relabeled.
Whats makes them reusable in Indonesia is you are supposed to bring/drop/sent the camera back to Hikari Studio and they will develop/scan/print and put in a new film of your choice and of course at a price. So you do not have to chuck these cameras out anymore. No waste and great for the environment.
NOTE: Do! Film labs, for now, can only dev/scan but not refill. Once they are ready to do that they will let us know.
Well, how can this work in Sydney, Australia? I have spoken to the guys at Do Film! Labs in Darlinghurst that they can develop/scan/print at their set price and even install new film of your choice. You either bring your own film or pick from their available range of films at their price.
NOTE: Do! Film labs, for now, can only dev/scan but not refill. Once they are ready to do that they will let us know.
So now you have a disposable that is now reusable with awesome graphics....made money's worth!
Please note I have shot on a few of these and the actual number of negs are not the full 27 exp... more like up to 27exp. A few times now I have got 24-25...28 exp is just like that with these disposables.
